Who are we? Section membership currently consists of directors, facility managers, recreation coordinators, facility and parks schedulers, administrative staff and other parks and recreation professionals working in facility management and related support positions that operate, manage, and/or schedule community centers, parks, picnic shelters, sports complexes, athletic fields and other public facilities in the State of Minnesota.
Purpose Statement: The Community Facilities Section addresses timely issues that involve recreation professionals working in facility management and related support positions through presentations, roundtable discussions and networking opportunities.

- Community Recreation Services: individuals who address community-based issues in non-traditional, culturally diverse and economically challenged populations in urban, suburban and rural communities

- Fitness and Wellness: individuals who are in the area of fitness and wellness

Mission: Building Healthy Communities Together
People who manage or wish to incorporate fitness, health, and wellness within your programs, sports and facilities including the built environment are strongly encouraged to join this section We understand this section is unique in design and will continuously bring new participants each time. Meeting attendees or interested participants would remain on the section contact list and attend as the topics connect to the fitness & wellness opportunities or initiatives your organization provides.
- Parks and Natural Resources: individuals whose area of interest is planning for and managing parks, natural resource recreational areas, and recreational facilities.
