The CONTINUING EDUCATION UNIT (CEU) is a nationally recognized and uniform unit of measurement designed to facilitate the accumulation and exchange of standardized information about individual participation in noncredit continuing education. One CEU is defined as “10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction.”
