This workshop explores placemaking and promotion from the perspectives and experiences of staff responsible for economic development, parks and recreation, marketing, and cultural affairs. The morning sessions will focus on the role of parks, public spaces, and cultural programming to enhance development interest and create a sense of community. The afternoon sessions will focus on the creative programming and marketing of events in those spaces as well as practical advertising and social media tips.
The morning session runs 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The afternoon session runs 12:30 - 4 p.m. Lunch is included.
